With a total $ 8,877,367 and completion within 12 months, the work includes the stretch of national highway 144, Nihuil-San Rafael. The work extends from the junction with National Route 144 to the village Nihuil over a length of 23,900 meters. It has a contract amount of $ 8,877,367 and an execution period of 12 months over the company Robello Leonardo Building, under the supervision of the Provincial Department of Roads. The works included a series of tasks to correct depressions and potholes of land and construction of a new asphalt concrete folder 6 cm. thick, depending on the sections relative widths (6.70 in the first leg, 11.50 in the second and 5.70 in the third). Also, the shoulders with gravel placement were conditioned, the drains were coated with concrete and the corresponding horizontal and vertical signaling placed. It should be mentioned that the work was divided into three sections: the first comprising from National Route 144 to the bridge over the River Atuel, the Second, which runs from the entrance to the former factory Carbometal to the Fishermen’s Club Nihuil and the third section (Annex to Route 180) runs from the bridge over the river Atuel to leave the town Nihuil. It is important to remember that the provincial road No. 180 San Rafael links with Malargüe through full National Route 40 South and along the Provincial Road No. 173, the tourist axis formed Atuel Canyon, Valle Grande, the Nihuil and the city of San Rafael. It is a path that has a strategic influence to one of the most important tourist destinations in the province such as circuit Atuel Canyon. From this work of reconstruction, the provincial road No. 180 increases the safety and comfort of all users who regularly run through one of the fastest growing areas of San Rafael Department, where the construction of houses and neighborhoods weekend shows a steady expansion.
