* The Carrizal Reservoir. It was built in 1971. It is 15 kilometres long and approximately 5 kilometres wide.
The dam has multiple applications, although its first objective was to regulate the river and make it possible to irrigate more acres of countryside for the agriculture; nowadays because of its proximity to the head cities of the departments of the central northern of the province, it gathers large amounts people who camp on its shores, fish silverside from boats or rafts specially designed for that purpose, do surfing, jet skiing, sailing or simply sunbathe.
On the east margin of the El Carrizal reservoir, the luxury villa San Isidro emerges as a serious challenge for the tourism development of the popular lake.
* El Cañón de las Huayquerías is suitable for hiking, horseback riding, photographic safaris and everything else you can think of to do in a place that nature built with its magic touches.
