In the year 1930, an Italian man, starts producing wines with the trademark “The Importer” in Major Drummond, Lujan de Cuyo, in a winery with a capacity of 80,000 hl.
There he started to produce and bottle fine wines with Malbec, Pinot Black and Semillón grapes from the area of Lujan de Cuyo and Maipu Guaymallén.
The family Granata founded a company with strong values: work, seriousness and responsibility.
Carmine Granata was one of the pioneers of the Wine Industry-Lujan de Cuyo in Mendoza.
Today, his descendants continue to work with the original process, but they have also introduced modern winemaking techniques, aiming to produce wines of international recognition.
The winery has also a small museum of antique machinery from vineyards and wineries.
