CERRO NEGRO Y CERRO COLORADO (2200 msnm)

It is reached from the city of Mendoza by the Route 82 towards Cacheuta , about 200 mtrs before the police control, we will see a sign that takes us to the position of the Crucecita, from the Post you can climb the Cerro Negro . You have to leave the car at the stand and walk towards the west following paths marked by sandy soils, the people of the post can indicate how to take them. From the tree and the slope of La Crucesita begins a quite abrupt ascent. Cerro Negro has at least two false summits. We must continue the march until we find the cross on the top. To take the Cerro Colorado you have to look for the path that goes to the left of the Post.
Easy but good physical condition is required 6 to 7 hours walking between ascent and descent.
