In this circuit height ranges between a thousand, four hundred and two thousand, two hundred fifty metres from Las Leñas, but if you continue until Valle Hermoso, the maximum height is three thousand metres.
This one hundred ninety-kilometre tour requires a day. It is operable throughout the year to Las Leñas, and up to Valle Hermoso only in the summer.
It is as a whole, one of the main attractions of Mendoza. From Malargüe, through the National Route 40 north, to the Provincial Route 222 that goes to the West.
A few kilometres down there is the Cañón del Río Salado, then the Valley of the Molles, where the river is crossed and you have to return seven kilometres along the right side of it, to find the beautiful Laguna de la Niña Encantada. In Los Molles, there are three hotels with all the facilities for lodging and eating, plus the possibility of taking thermal baths in Lahuén-Co, waters with excellent therapeutic conditions and pleasant temperature. Ten kilometres to the west and two thousand metres higher, there are the wells of Ánimas, two curious karst formations, such as large holes of two hundred and fifty and three hundred metres in diameter, and ninety metres deep.
The next attraction is Las Leñas, seventy-five kilometres from Malargüe and two thousand, two hundred and fifty metres above the sea level is an international level ski resort, where there are world famous tournaments and with all the infrastructure imaginable for winter sports and adventure tourism; not available in the summer. Casino, hotels, apart-hotels, dorm-houses, timeshares, restaurants, discotheque, shopping, etc. Everything within a majestic framework of mountains whose heights range from three thousand, three hundred to four thousand and eight hundred metres.
Following the Provincial Route 222, through a winding path with some curves you will get to the Valle Hermoso, covered with green meadows in the summer, with two ponds teeming with trout, in addition to the rivers Cobre and Tordillo forming the Río Grande. The return must be through the same way.
There is the option of going through Las Loicas, to arrive to the Valle Noble, with a spectacular beauty, the fishing circuit Rio Grande and the Sulphur springs.
