It can be accessed by the National Route 143, provincial 122 and secondary roads.
This journey requires a day. It is operable throughout the year.
The Atuel River forms several lakes and a diverter dam (Rincón del Indio in San Rafael), all of them used as resorts, for fishing and water sports. The ones with tourism infrastructure are Laguna El Pique, Laguna La Toma and the Rincón del Indio dam. In addition, there are other lakes suitable for these activities but without infrastructure.
