This journey of between ten and fifty kilometres requires half a day and full day if you visit museums and wineries. It is operable throughout the year.
In a small area downtown, between the avenues Yrigoyen and El Libertador, and around the main square, tourists can find the Library Mariano Moreno, the Museum of Fine Arts, the Cathedral and the City Hall. Another option, after a walk in the downtown area, towards the west on Hipolito Yrigoyen Avenue, the homonymous park hosts between its groves a beautiful Greek Theatre, called Chacho Santa Cruz, where the Departmental Harvest Festival takes place as well as other important music festivals and theatre. Taking then Ballofet avenue and after crossing a bridge over the Diamante river there is a homonymous Island where there is the Natural History Museum, a campsite and a small municipal zoo in the Mariano Moreno park. This city tour combines visits to internationally very famous wineries, a drying fruit cellar and vineyards in the surroundings of the city.
