The call Chihuido Slope is located in Malargüe, south of the province of Mendoza. It is accessed through National Route 40, passing 30 km from the provincial capital city of Malargüe. It is an interesting place of great paleontological wealth, where is located the Manqui Malal waterfall.
Chihuido slope is very rich in marine fossils, because in ancient times the whole area was under the sea. Nearby, at 4 km, it is Turcará, a regular for the realization of sports and activities related to adventure tourism as trekking, climbing and abseiling, with the particularity that is common paleontological trekking activities.
Chihuido slope is an orographic formation as no more than 300 meters high. The site is bordered by 500 meters of fences ideal for rapel.Un very attractive tourist spot that integrates the place are called Waterfalls Manqui-Malal, whose name means “Bardas Condor”. There are waterfalls between rocky slopes, and a set of “frozen waterfalls” very attractive.
The place is ideal for lovers of the arena and trekking paleontology. Used and Tyrolean climbing and rappelling are made, so it is necessary to go with a trained guide. The level of difficulty depends on the visitor, existing natural arenas for beginners and places more difficult if one takes practice.
