Desafío Cerros de Vizcacheras, has become a star race within adventure trail running. It develops between hills, dry rivers of gravel and sand, chañarales and showy trees combined with the attractive flora and fauna native to the Rivadavian desert, in an adventure that is divided into three distances: 25, 10 and 5K participatory, culminating in the Paseo del Lago, located in the heart of the eastern department of the province. An unparalleled adventure that a law trail runner can not miss.
This sporting event is organized by the Eusebio Guiñez Master Group (AMEG) but also has the auspices of the Municipality of Rivadavia, through its Sports and Recreation Department, as well as numerous private entities
The proceeds are for charitable purposes.
The circuit is quite demanding, especially for the legs given the difficulties posed by the rugged beauty of the desert, with permanent undulations.
In this way, the 25K race starts at the San Ceferino campsite, offering a first positive slope of approximately 600 meters, in the Vizcacheras area (that of the oil fields). There, the athletes will circulate 15K through hills and dunes of pure gravel and sand until they reach the forest station of INTA, already in the rural district La Libertad, where they will travel through an attractive forest. From there, the trail runners will share the circuit of the 10K and they will be seen with a dry river very “heavy” for the legs since they will have 4K of pure gravel and another 4K of impious sand. Then you will take a dirt road to get to a bike path that will guide you to the beautiful Rivadavia Sports Center to arrive at the finish line at the Paseo del Lago (after passing through the amphitheater).
Place: Desert of Rivadavia (Camping San Ceferino, Vizcacheras)
