On 22 April, as part of Earth Day, the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development, through the Department of Natural Resources, organized cleanup activities at the perilago Potrerillos. After a totally clear night where the sky dropped a rain of stars reflected in the lake, began arriving volunteers decided to do something for their land. From 10 lake slowly started to populate Mendoza and tourists, led by organizers with employees of the Municipality of Luján, in charge of the Tourism Reporter Potrerillos and Popular Library Tejada Gómez de Potrerillos, helped to collect more than 70 garbage bags. Besides awareness leaflets were distributed on environmental care. The institution has been doing this job for two years, for three dates: Water Day (March 22), Earth Day (April 22) and the Environment Day (June 5). Along with the guide Daniel Alonso, Director of the School of Scuba diver, made the atmosphere so the staff worked with the initiative.
