In the constant struggle to produce excellent wines, Jean Bousquet arrived in Mendoza in 1990 for its vineyards and wineries. Upon discovering the unique characteristics of the region , vineyards blessed with cool nights and a constant cool breeze, I had found prnsó idyllic to generate mature grapes and fine wines conditions.
Domaine Bousquet philosophy is to focus on preserving the high quality of the grapes, which is why the delicate handling of the raw material is the principle governing the winery.
The team working in our warehouse focuses on the details and struggle to combine traditional methods with modern and produce wines of high quality and style.
The warehouse holds 2.5 million liters of premium quality wine in stainless steel tanks , cement and barrels of French and American oak. The grapes arrive at the reception area of the winery in small boxes, which are selected manually before going to the stemmer . After a soft stemming, the grapes are transferred to tanks to carry out the process of fermentation maceration and then for about 30 days. The fermentation is carried out at a controlled temperature with selected yeasts. In case of red wines , this process is followed by malolactic fermentation.
As a result , extraordinary wines with incredible color, delicious fruit notes and a well-balanced structure of tannins and acidity are obtained. Accessible to young taste them , the wines are aging gracefully.
