A Winepoint and a gallery that combines art and wine were opened earlier this month in the city of Mendoza, and Mendoza and generate support among tourists.
Proposals about wine still booming. In late February it opened in Mirror Street City, a place that combines art and wine. This week opened on the corner of Chile and Montevideo a Winepoint to guide tourists on wine tours and give informal talks about wines and winemaking. Martinotti Marina is a graphic designer. She and her partner Lorena Serro, decided to open the Alef Art and Wine, a novel approach to a place not only for wineries, but also for people to take courses, attend tastings or for businessmen to develop their encounters. Alef is the point where everything converges, in terms of art, design, and got the idea is to work with specialized spaces for both courses with wine sommeliers, as specialists in different subjects for art history courses staff. The concept is already having followers and showed interest in developing wineries with tastings importers, business breakfasts, conferences, product launches. There will be a tasting with importers in Mexico these days. Two wineries make pairing art, culture and wine. In turn we send tourists and agencies of foreign small groups which are interested to link with the art, all visitors are of course with a glass of wine, said Marina. Site activities are leased, except for visits to the gallery, where it is always offers visitors a glass of wine, sparkling or late harvest, to promote the products of local sponsors. As for music proposals and sculptures, space has the idea of generating two months plus a mix of music, art and wine, with specialists in all three areas. The place has a special lighting system and hanging rails and everything is ready to enhance the work. The tasting room is equipped in turn with each varietal glasses, decanters and stubs. The meeting point of Winery this week began operating one of the projects they had in mind the Chmea brothers to open its first branch Winery (the country’s largest wine cellar) in Mendoza. Marcela Lledo, head of the Wine Point, explains that although this is an ambitious project now underway talks Monday to Friday from 19.30. These talks are open to the public gives staff the wineries, but then companies that emerged from wine tourism, or managers of the inns in the vineyards, makers of gourmet products, merchandising, and other activities linked to the world will be invited wine. The site will function as an information center for tourists seeking to visit wineries. Right now we are working with Wine Map and began to summon the wineries to see their opening hours, what wines offer if they want to send them tourism, Lledo said.
For now the weekends the place is not open to the public, something that will change in the course of the year. By now the Wine Point is open from 18 hours onwards. It will soon be open in the morning and afternoon. By far the response we’ve had is fantastic. The day opened Monday this week, talk much enjoyed Finca La Celia. They talk to groups of 25 or 30 people, no more, and this lends itself to more interactive things. To conclude a toast with a wine cellar is made. The talks are free, translated into English and visiting tourists usually sent to us from the hotels, emphasized the charge. While for now it is not necessary reservations, for more information about the service provided by the Winepoint can write to info@thewinepoint.com
