Enduro Classics Series (ECS) was born in 2017, with the aim of connecting and bringing together the most important classic enduro competitions that take place throughout the country, under the same space and to determine who are the best drivers in the world. the discipline.
Thus, the ECS Events Committee is responsible for defining which Argentine enduro competitions meet the necessary conditions to be part of the annual Enduro Classic Series calendar, up to a maximum of 12 races. So some of the competitions that are part of the local calendar of Mendoza, also add points to participate in this championship. As long as that competence has been selected by the ECS Commission.
The main characteristics that a race must fulfill to be part of this last group is the number of Top 10 drivers of the ECS Ranking registered in the previous year, the organizational quality (classifications or timed, information of the race, development of the race, measures of security, facilities to the pilots, etc.) and the historical trajectory or number of editions that the same one had.
Therefore, the events that make up the ECS calendar may vary each year if the factors listed above are not met, and calendar tests may be entered and departed if the Commission so decides.
In Enduro Classics Series ECS, all riders registered in the races of the calendar established every year participate automatically.
The pilots will be classified into classes: Gold for the Seniors A and Seniors B categories, Silver for the Junior A and Junior B categories; Bronze, Master + 40 times; Steel, times of the Promotional and Beginners categories and Diamonds for the special category of ladies.
The 10 best piles of each class, will obtain points that will enable him to participate in the selection of the winner of ECS of each class, crediting him as the best pilot of Classics of the season.
Some competitions that have already participated in the three editions are: Desafío del Indio (San Luis), Tranvelasco (La Rioja), Suns Race (Salta), Aser El Desafío (San Juan), Transmontany (Tucumán).
The Aconcagua Challenge Mendoza, is the local Mendoza competition that has a place in the ECS. In 2017 the event moves to Villavicencio neighborhoods, finding a geography of unanimous liking in the pilots for its canyons, climbs and descents on red earth. In 2018, the route was traced by the Salagasta mines. By 2019, the Aconcagua will be based in Potrerillos, Luján de Cuyo, organized by the Aconcagua Motoclub group in September, on days 7 and 8.
