This is the fifth edition of a specialty that makes each winter in beautiful Vallecitos basis. In addition to international competition will be climbing courses for all. The big news is that this is not just a tournament, but the Ice Park begins to function permanently during the winter months, offering courses and workshops ice climbing and rock with all equipment included as well as dedicated spaces climber who wants to just enjoy a great day of ice climbing. The festival proper begins on July 7. There will be a complex type dome tents where there will be a small and comfortable food court and bar drinks, bathrooms, parking and stations for other services such as circuit Paintball sponsored by Real Action. The final of the competition will take place during the 14th and 15th July. The event already has two time champions: Martin Luther, Mendoza, and Javier Giuliani, San Juan, in the Elite category, the buzz of competition. There are also three other categories: Amateur Men and Women Elite and Amateur. Corporate sponsors for the 2012 cycle are Highlab Ferrino, a global leader in equipment and apparel to high-altitude expeditions and outdoor sports, and Maxim Ropes, one of the most important brands of climbing ropes USA. The sponsors that make possible the operation of the event include: Red Bull, Front Limit, Power Ade, Winery, Mendoza DPV, EPGAMT, AAGPM, Municipality of Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza Italian Consulate, Yacopini Motors, Refugees Mausy, San Bernardo and San Antonio. The results of the event will be broadcast to 108 countries through television channels as well as Argentina, Brazil and Chile. The Vallecitos Ice Climbing Festival was declared a provincial interest, so today has incentives of private enterprise and government agencies that support the initiative in several areas.
