The Small Winemakers Wine Expo takes place in Mendoza since 2014 and seeks to highlight the work of small wineries that each year bring quality products to the market wine. It is a kind of fair tasting with sale, open to the general public older than 18 years-old. Lots of wines from different wine regions of Mendoza and small wineries are tasted.
Over the year, the show has gathered more than 120 wineries, winemakers and artisanal homemade wine. The hosting place of the event is usually the Enoteca, in street Peltier 611 Mendoza during the month of December. Along with the entrance to the fair you get a drink to all guests with which they can access the tasting of all wines exhibited.
The event is organized by the Ministry of Agro Industry and Technology, Government of Mendoza with Mendoza Wine Fund and the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Nation. Involved more than 30 different wineries and gourmet food producers Mendoza, offering the perfect pairing for the occasion. In addition, it has the participation of musical groups that complete the proposal.
Small Winemakers Program currently has 130 beneficiaries, including wineries and winemakers and artisanal homemade wine. These in turn have less than 2,000,000 liters annually processing. This type of event is ideal to launch and promote the production of wine to small and medium scale, and this emphasizes the theme of the program “Small winery owners, great wines”.
