The Festa in Piazza is held every year in the city of Mendoza, during the last days of February. Between the celebrations of the Harvest Festival this celebration of the Italian community is made, and it takes place in the symbolic Italian Square located in the city center. It runs for three days, and between the activities undertaken highlights the wide gastronomic offer.
The party begins when the national anthem, thrilling moment for all Italians and descendants of Italians tones. The event features more than 27 edits all openings and the mayors of the city participate. Among the wide gastronomic offer stands, the main attraction of the festival, the highlights include: the Roman tripe, baked pasta, Buffalino and piadinas turkey and cheese. During the last day the election of the queen, who represents the Italian community is performed.
The candidates are presented during that month and in the first days of the festival, and during the last night the choice is made.
