The Americanto Festival is a music festival proposed a meeting with the roots. It takes place every year in the last week of November, and already has more than 30 editions. The site chosen is the Prado Gaucho, located in the General San Martin Park in Mendoza. There many people every year and many local, national and international artists congregate.
The idea of the festival is to contribute to the promotion and dissemination of Latin American and native culture by encouraging Latin American unity and strengthening regional identity. As side events are also held the Americantito, for the kids, and Americanto 2.Zero, which includes the new musical trends intertwined with folklore.
The opening ceremony takes place with members of the Mendoza Indigenous people, kicking off the most varied musical performances. Predominantly folklore, Andean music and murga. Throughout the event, which usually lasts three days, tributes to important personalities in Mendoza and country music are performed.
In the estate a craft fair featuring a wide variety of crafts, and the inevitable food stalls where you can buy a nice dinner while enjoying the music played on stage is also installed. Admission to the event is free, and each year brings together hundreds of individuals and families who come to the farm, with matte and chaise hand under his arm, to spend a special evening.
