The Film Festival Mirada Oestel is a very important at the provincial level, where short films are exhibited event. every year it takes place during the month of August in the city of Godoy Cruz, part of Mendoza. The call started during the months before the festival, where participants can choose short.
The works are national, free subject, and the condition for participation is to be short, no more than 20 or 30 minutes depending on the category. The awards consist of a fixed amount of money, the same for all areas. The categories comprising the contest are Fiction, Animation and Documentary. The works may originate from anywhere in the country, but dominated the local and regional production.
The festival takes place over seven years ago, in an attempt to promote artistic and especially film production in the province, as the region of Cuyo is very encouraging prospects for cultural achievements. In this vein, for several years the municipality of the city also provides training and support to local filmmakers.
