The Theatre Premieres Festival is held every year in the city of Mendoza during the month of October, but with variable dates between September and the tenth month. The festival holds the record of having performed continuously since 1998, and every year presents the premiere of the last theater season of Mendoza.
The event’s goal is precisely to promote the creation and dissemination of Mendoza theater to renew production and offer new billboards to residents and visitors to the city during the offseason. The participating works are various prizes and categories where they can participate are Best Play, Best Director / a, path, Outstanding Lead Actor, Best Lead Actress, Best Supporting Actress, Best Supporting Actor.
Generally, the program consists of 12 works, which were released during the last season of theater before the event. The lifetime achievement award was added to the grid of categories to give recognition to many directors and actors enrich your theater work for years the cultural heritage that has the province of Mendoza.
There will also be special awards for categories such as Best Art Direction, Best Costume Design, Best lighting design, sound design and Best Best Mendoza text or adaptation. A pre-selection jury selects the works that will participate in the Festival, with local personalities from the world renowned theater and other related institutions. Admission is affordable and works performed in various theaters and village halls.
