The Prosciutto and Homemade Bread Festival is made every year in Junin province of Mendoza, with variable dates between February and March. It is a festival that pays tribute to this combination of flavors so characteristic of the province such as the raw ham and homemade bread. Moreover, it is a good way to promote tourism in the town of Junin and the whole area, located 50 km from the capital of the province.
In the estate a large food court that includes many Creole and regional dishes are installed, and which features, of course, the raw ham and homemade bread. In addition, musical shows and craft shows are performed in a tour that includes the work of many artisans of the town and the area, revaluing juninenses traditions and customs.
For two nights different ensembles and artists seeking music fill the stage to the delight of those present, and what role have the folkloric groups succeed. In addition to local and provincial artists are also participating musicians from other provinces, reserving the most important for closing the festival.
The festivities usually take place over an entire weekend, so the date is variable but generally extends over two days. Along with the Festival of Song and Melesca, it is one of the most important celebrations of the region, so it is very important for the whole community of Junin event.
