Every year the National Festival takes place in Tonada Mendoza City Tunuyán. This is a traditional celebration of the Uco Valley, which takes shows out of folklore, traditional food such as roast goat and the election of departmental vintage queen, who then compete in the National Harvest Festival together with other departmental representatives.
The event is held during the month of February, usually in the first half. The origin of the festival dates back to 1972, and was inaugurated by Victor Humberto Pizarro. Because of its importance for Mendoza tradition in the eighties he went on to get the name of the National Festival, and became one of the most important festivals that take place annually in our country.
