The Rivadavia sings to the Country Festival takes place in Rivadavia, Mendoza, during the end of January. The initiative began in 1986 due to a neighborhood group that organized folkloric, and decided it was time to showcase the talent and music of Rivadavia the rest of the country. Despite this, today the festival includes music from all over the country, mixing traditional and contemporary popular genres, and even participate international renowned artists. In 2016 will mark the 30 edits.
Before the three main days of the event the previous one, where bands of different genres aimed at different audiences, pointing towards children and young people have performed. During those days, also for smaller groups of children’s music are presented. Within the estate gastronomic stands with all kinds of meals are offered: from racks, and choripán chivitos to pizzas, hot dogs and fries. All accompanied by a good wine or soft drinks. Sweepstakes as part of the activities, and the election of the Queen of Rivadavia sings to the Country are also conducted.
All children under 10 do not pay the entrance to the festival. An area to function as camping becomes acclimated, and those who love nature can enjoy many amenities including toilets, showers, barbecues, games for children and dishwashing sector. It also has a natatorium. Deportivo Municipal, venue, Complex is located eight blocks from the city center, on the north bank of the River Tunuyán.
