The most popular festivals known in the Department of Tupungato are the Feira Departmental de la Vendimia (bear in mind the excellent wines produced by the local wineries) and the Gran Carnaval de Antaño.
In addition, sporting competitions and events of great significance, such as the Super Cross Latinoamericano are done in the Department.
