An associative tourism group Lavalle and other Maipu olivícola received grant fund for the implementation of their projects. Government support aims to strengthen the associative, employment and attachment to the land. Under this type have already been executed $ 2,860,934 in the last two years.
The ceremony was led by the Governor of the Province, Celso Jaque, and two funds linked to the tourism and food industry made under the Promotion Sub Clusters partnership projects were delivered. Both initiatives receive funding worth approximately $ 400,000. Lavalle’s group has developed a tourism project called “Strengthening Estate Assumption” initiative reinforcing competitiveness betting the economic development of the community of La Asunción and its area of influence (Lavalle desert), as well as the preservation of natural and cultural heritage of the area. One goal is to expand tourism to prevent migration of young lavallinos to other areas. The project leader, Humberto Gonzalez, noted that funding “will be used for conditioning and sanitary places to stay. Tourists can now also choose from the mountains, wineries and Lavalle desert, we are working on that,” he said. Adrian Nuñez, leader of “Olivares de Los Andes” project, explaining his initiative were explained as the early work and the benefits of partnering to market. Roots in Asunción Strengthening received $ 100,000 for the first disbursement of a total of $ 313,318.34, while the group of Olivares de Los Andes were awarded the first payment of $ 70,000 from a total of 140,211.
