Flyboard

In this section we will comment on these new variants of water sports that are trends in the world and that although, because of the cost of their equipment are not yet carried out in the province, its dams and reservoirs are susceptible that in some future Not too far away we can enjoy them at the hand of some amateur.

Flyboard, was created in France in 2011 by the motorcycle racer Franky Zapata. It is a new aquatic sport that lets you fly over water, do tricks and even dive. The propulsion system is similar to that of a conventional watercraft or motorboat, which collects water from the bow and, through a turbine, ejects it at great pressure from the stern, driving the motorcycle. On flyboard that water outlet is connected to a hose of 20 meters and brings all that pressure to a table, dividing the flow of water between two elbows of smaller section that throw the water down.

This board secured by bindings under the feet, with two powerful jets downwards allows the necessary power to propel, turn, fly up to 15 meters above the water, dive up to 2.5 meters, or perform all kinds of acrobatics.

The Flyboard is buoyant for safety, allows the pilot to rest in the water between walks if the person becomes fatigued. The use of a personal flotation device and the helmet protect against possible blows to the head in the event that the pilot is impacted with the watercraft or fixed structures and to protect the ears from the damages and inconveniences of the blows with the water.
The device is controlled by a regulating valve in the watercraft. The equipment can be used in two ways: the first requires two people, one to control the PWC accelerator that regulates the power and height of the pilot. The second mode is treated in an accessory called the Electronic Management Kit, which makes the driver control the PWC accelerator wirelessly.

Its practice has spread rapidly throughout the world both in competitions and for leisure as it is easier to practice than it seems, does not require great physical strength, but rather to learn to have a control of the body and balance because the movement is created from the inclination of the feet on the table to later move, rotate, etc.

The most recent version propelled by air, achieved a Guinness world record for the most extensive flight by a hoverboard, exceeding 2 kilometers (2,252 meters) in April 2016. Known as Flyboard Air, according to its inventor, allows a flight of up to 10,000 feet of height, with a maximum speed of 150 km / h, has 10 minutes of autonomy, and does not have a hose (because it is propelled by gases by jet propulsion).

Hoverboard

Unlike the flyboard, which had the propulsion below, the new work of Franky Zapata enables athletes to accelerate to 40 km per hour and rise to five meters with greater maneuverability

The essential difference is that while the first prototype had the propulsion located under the feet and hands and allowed jumps of up to 9 meters, the new model uses as a base a table connected to a powerful suction motor and a hose, being driven from a jet in the rear, which allows greater maneuverability and the possibility of achieving greater speed. Obviously, both models need to be connected to a water bike in order to function.
The result is a skate with which you can do all kinds of acrobatic figures in the air, as long as you have a body of water nearby.
