“Kumen Aconcagua Ultra Trail” is an international competition that takes place in the Aconcagua Provincial Park in the Province of Mendoza.
The imposing Mount Aconcagua with its 6962 mts SNM, is the highest peak in the Americas and the mecca of mountaineering, attracting thousands of climbers every year. In this Kumen Aconcagua Ultra Trail the senses, adrenaline and challenge invite you to run the most important race of the year.
In this way, Aconcagua Ultra Trail is the maximum expression of the challenge. With a demanding track layout, with the framework of the Aconcagua and altimetry which can exceed 4500 meters, this circuit Utra Trail and Trail has become one of the icons of the sport worldwide.
This high-level sporting event is aimed at runinng Trail runners from around the world, certified by the ITRA (International Trail runinng Association) with 5 distances according to the levels of the different runners.
The circuits range from 15K and 25K for beginners and distances of 38k, 60K and 100K granted by ITRA.
The imposing Cerro Aconcagua and the Mendoza mountain range with their wonderful landscapes, invite runners from all over the world to participate in this international level race, which is framed by a stunning scenery. The circuit is very technical and somewhat difficult because of the presence that is not very common in this type of races so many runners are not used to it but it is a great experience as it brings together people from all sides like Chile, Spain.
