The trek begins in the former Sky Vallecitos Center (Potrerillos) which is located at 2980 meters above sea level. Take the right from the shelter of Vallecitos, the hill to climb first is El Lomas Blancas whose edge follows the line of the ski slope, however we recommend climbing a small stream tributary of the Blanco River, which is on the other side of the edge. As it advances, the green of the stream disappears until it reaches the point known as “panorama”. From there there is a short but somewhat dangerous stretch, an hour more walking by huge and loose boulder, through which you will reach the top of Lomas Blancas (3650 masl). This place is spectacular since it has an overview of the dike of Potrerillos and del Plata. From the cross of Lomas Blancas you can see the top of the Student (3700 masl.) Which is reached in 15 minutes more easily. Walking about 45 minutes more than a somewhat more complicated route is the Caucasus summit (3870 masl), and finally the peak of Iluso (3950 masl). You can return by the same route to the starting point or at the summit delo Lomas Blancas go down the edge and then take the end of the mulberry trees and the Vallecitos ski slope.
A certain degree of difficulty, very good physical condition is required, from 7 to 9 hours walking .
