The La Estanzuela Solidarity Marathon, was born in 2014 and has been declared of departmental interest. Over the years, it has become one of the most attractive competitive events in the province due to the large number of participants. So much so that it already occupies a place in the annual calendar of the Association of Veteran Marathoners, this being the only atypical and neighborhood race in Mendoza that attracts more than 150 participants of excellent levels.
It was created in order to reach the heart of the largest neighborhood in Latin America, although it is not believed that way (since it has 20,000 mtrs2), a unique and special 12K race in which the routes were carefully designed so that the participants can have the possibility to know during the trip their typical places like schools, supermarkets, businesses and premises, cultural centers, pharmacies, streets and boulevards that adorn a beautiful and natural landscape of palm trees and green meadows in the foothills of Mendoza, making it attractive for the difficult and altimetric streets imposed by their ascents and descents.
In this way, the starting point of this meeting is the parking lot of the Walmart de Benegas supermarkets, to the heart of the La Estanzuela neighborhood, to end again at the starting point.
In the competition run, jog or walk through its streets both amateur and federated high level athletes, as beginners who embrace this sport and who come from all over Mendoza. It has circuits of 10 and 6K, and a special category for Kids up to 12 years of age
The neighbors do not stop saying never present with the desire to show the quality of their people making it even more attractive.
