The City of Las Heras launched its summer campaign with major announcements of events and tourist activities the salon Palatium Challao served for Mayor Ruben Miranda gave the initial campaign to promote tourism in the summer season in the kicking department. In addition the web site www.turismo.lasheras.gov.ar with the information needed to decide what to do, where to eat and sleep in Las Heras was presented. The presentation was attended by the National Harvest Queen Wanda Kaliciñsky 2012, as well as municipal authorities, tourist operators and media. The timing of Las Heras Summer began in December at the Club Andino The Algarrobal with summer school and continue in January with the traditional High Mountain Festival on 25 and 26 in the Camping Municipal de Uspallata. Activities will continue with 27 Ritual Wine Penitentes attended by Jaime Torres (see pages 6 and 7) and 31 with the celebration of 142 anniversary of Las Heras. They will continue the activities with Departmental Vintage Festival where Wanda Kaliciñsky will leave your reign, February 2 at Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes. In that same scenario will take place on 9 changing Archbishop of Mendoza, and 11 the procession honoring the Virgin. The mayor considered Rubén Miranda started the year with complications due to the international crisis, fearing that affect municipal accounts, but this was not very good and close way. He also emphasized the important works for the town as it will be done with the participatory budget allocated 28 million for works. Finally, the community leader highlighted the joint work between the municipality and the various chambers of tourism department.
