Year after year the department of Rivadavia carries out various events commemorating the anniversary of the department. Within the agenda is the traditional Anniversary Marathon, carried out by the Municipality through the Directorate of Sports and Recreation that together with the Athletics Subcommittee of the Rivadavia Sports Center, and members of CLAF (organizers of the Carrizal Challenge Triathlon) work in each detail from the year 1977 to carry out this classic long awaited by the neighbors of the area and from other places of the province that arrive to be part. The tour begins at the Paseo del Lago, and has three categories: competitive 10K, school for people with different abilities and recreational for those who want to participate walking.
