This is a sporting and annual event, of great magnitude that takes place in Mendoza since 2009 in the San Martín General Park. The scenario of this event seeks to reflect the nature as well as the tourist and sports benefits of Mendoza.
Each year more than 2 thousand people participate with their families in the categories KIDS, 4 and 10 K.
The end of the race is to help the task carried out by the Foundation therefore it is a short distance competitions in which all runners can participate: the advanced seeking to lower their times, there are those who run simply for pleasure and even those who run great distances, to use this events as part of their training plans.
It is redundant to talk about the titanic task carried out by the foundation presided over by the pediatrician Abel Albino but, although there are still those who do not know that the CONIN Foundation works to eradicate childhood malnutrition in Argentina.
CONIN was founded by Dr. Abel Pascual Albino on September 4, 1993. Albino took the successful model of CONIN Chile, devised by its founder Dr. Fernando Mönckeberg, who successfully managed to break the scourge of child malnutrition in his country and thanks to which Chile has the lowest malnutrition index in Latin America.
Currently, CONIN has replicated more than 100 Prevention Centers distributed in 18 provinces of Argentina. In turn, there are CONIN Centers in the Republic of Paraguay, in the Republic of Peru, and in The Gambia (Equatorial Africa).
The motivating idea of this task is to make aware that if a child is not well fed during its first years of life, its little brain will not develop fully, so it will have consequences for the rest of its existence since, as an adult, it will be intellectually deficient. Therefore, with small malnourished people, we will not have a future since Argentina will have a high percentage of inhabitants without the capacity to fully develop on their own and, much less, to create conditions for collective development.
