The museums houses a fine collection of memories of General José de San Martin as well as his military work, his private life, his army and his liberating campaigns. In the same building, there is also a public library that has the name of the ‘The Hero of our Nation’.
Located in the ‘Alameda’ in the historic site that belonged to San Martin. Documents and objects that belonged to the General and his wife are kept there. There are also weapons and uniforms that the Liberating Army used, from the ‘Campaña del desierto’ (the Desert Campaign) and the Malvinas (Falkland Islands) war. It is also important to mention the Public Library San Martin, created in 1.822, and whose foundation was related to ‘The Hero of our Nation’, who donated 700 books.
