San Martin is a town with many regional history, but above all a key point in the life of the great liberator Jose de San Martin. The General spent time there before beginning his liberating campaign, promoting the regional economy and arming of his life in place. San Martin is testament to that process and has many places that have a bit of the life of this great patriot.
MUSEUM ARAGON
The Museum is located on Aragon Street Oratory s / n High Salvador, in San Martin. It offers a collection of old books, liturgical furniture collections and historical place.
The building is jointly formed by a closed chapel, the Oratorio de Alto Salvador, an open chapel founded in the mid nineteenth century.
REGIONAL MUSEUM OF DOMES
It is located in Av. Pirovano and Godoy Cruz. It is a reconstruction of the house that used to belong to General San Martin, which was destroyed by the passage of time. The museum has two vaults, which gave it its name, constructed in wood, clay and reeds, dating from 1905. There is no agricultural objects exposed nineteenth century and belongings of San Martin, in addition to artifact belonging to the War against Paraguay and the Desert Campaign.
SOLAR HISTORY MOLINA ORFILA
This is a site that has a colonial museum, an oil mill, an old mill and a sanctuary. It also has a warehouse belonging to the family Orfilia. The old mill was created by General San Martin to provide flour to all this area, and worked through the Acequia de la Patria, also built by San Martin. The museum has photographs, documents and articles intended for grinding and activities of the winery.
