The meeting Classical Music Through the Wine Roads is a four-day cycle is performed during April, coinciding with Easter. It is ideal for lovers of classical music in all its forms, organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Culture, Government of Mendoza event. The show combines music, food and wine in four days full of concerts.
Programming cycle offers 50 concerts of international standing, and was recently included in the annual calendar of cultural activities in the province. Admission is free, with the only requirement of a nonperishable food to benefit the Food Bank. The circuit covers several departments and concerts are always held outdoors or in buildings that are historical heritage of the different locations, and always involve local, provincial, national and international artists.
Each year more wineries add to the stable circuit event, offering its facilities. buildings like the independence Theatre, Quintanilla and the Ducal de Rivadavia also participate. The event goes even further: in some editions have used the terraces of the majestic Hotel Villavicencio, providing a natural context of mountain forests and generates a special atmosphere.
In recent years the program was aimed at paying tribute to different artists and composers of classical music, giving them visibility without leaving out any style. The public response is remarkable: in the last edition, held in 2015, the event drew more than 17,000 spectators who enjoyed music, wine and all the attractions that make this series one of the most important autumn musical encounters in the country.
