The City and the Department of San Rafael have many natural beauties, some further from the city and others less. But San Rafael is not only natural beauties: there are beautiful green spaces built by man, but they do not lose their share of nature. We name some attractive parks to visit during their stay in the City:
Hipolito Yrigoyen Park
Located in City of San Rafael, between the streets Hipólito Yrigoyen and Ameghino, Hipolito Yrigoyen Park is a beautiful green space to visit with family. Inside is located the Monument to the Argentine Gaucho, and you can also visit the statue of the Harvest. In the sports center premises, great sport, and also located the Plaza del Tango, which in summer is filled with music and dance works. Amphitheater Chacho Santa Cruz is probably one of the most important buildings in the park, because there is held annually Departmental Harvest Festival and the Festival of Peoples and Wine.
Mariano Moreno Park
A little further from the city, Diamond Island, is located the Parque Mariano Moreno. The distance is 7 km from the city center. Also it is known as Parque de la Isla, to be surrounded by two arms of the Rio Diamante, forming an island. This park has an artificial lake in the northwest, and in the middle of the estate a Zoo works. There is also access to the Grotto of the Immaculate Conception, plus a campsite called El Parador, ideal for sports or enjoy the outdoors. Across from the park is the National Museum of Natural History, a major museum that is fourth in national importance in the field of Natural History.
