Yesterday was presented an academic proposal that fills a demand for formal training expressed in the region, to the great challenge of Argentina for its worldwide recognition as a center of olivícola development. This is the Diploma in olive growing, fruit of the union of efforts of two prestigious institutions as the Faculty of Enology and Agribusiness Juan A. Maza University and the National Institute of Agricultural Technology (INTA). The event was attended by officials of that college and INTA, highlighting the presence of the National Director of the agency, Ing. Nestor Oliveri and the rector of the UMAZA, Ing. Carlos Eduardo Villarreal, who offered words to those present. The completed is divided into eight meetings, which cover the following topics: analysis of national and global policies, adaptation and development of technologies for primary production, agro-ecological aspects of the system, industrialization of production, business management, standards for assurance quality and safety, to the policies, strategies and challenges of the official sector. The aim of the Diploma is the training of qualified human resources in all the links of the food chain olivícola. It is aimed at professionals and advanced students of the careers of Agricultural Engineering, Chemistry and Food, Graduates in tertiary technical professionals involved in the olive production sector and related Bromatología. Those who are not included in the above requirements but proving qualifications and experience in the field can access courses and receive a certificate.
