The Neighbourhood Associations and the various communities, at the weekends, organise popular ball parties or small sound and light shows, where the representatives who will participate in the election for the Departmental sceptre are elected from each district.

* Feriagro – FEBRUARY
This is an agricultural and cattle exhibition with music shows and folklore skills presentations. In one of the evenings, accompanied by a music, colour and fireworks show, it is celebrated the Department harvest festival.

* Bolivian Carnival in Ugarteche – FEBRUARY
Parade and contest of music groups, who played the Diabladas de Oruro (typical dance and music); it is noteworthy that all Bolivian communities of the Province participate in it.

* Virgen de Lourdes – FEBRUARY
Pilgrimage to Our Lady of Lourdes, on February 11, at the grotto in Perdriel.

* Vendimia (Harvest) – MARCH
There is the participation of the Department in the National Harvest Festival, which is held at the Greek Amphitheatre Frank Romero Day, in the city of Mendoza.
* Campers Week – MARCH
During harvest and the week before, in the associated campsites, there are sports activities, exhibitions, shows, etc.

* Autumn in Potrerillos – APRIL
At the heart of the mountain, Potrerillos, there is the Festival gauchos skills, artistic performances, arts and crafts exhibitions, as well as typical foods. With this festival the splendour of autumn is enhanced in this District of Mendoza which is particularly charming.

* Easter – APRIL
Among the places that are recommended in Luján to visit at Easter, are: the Carrodilla Calvary and the Monte Carmelo Way of the Cross in El Salto, Potrerillos.

* Anniversary of the Department – MAY
It is celebrated on May 11, besides the festivities take place throughout the month, in different sites of the Department, with cultural activities, Mass, procession, civic and military parades, conferences, shows, etc.

* May 25 Festivities – MAY
Cultural event in commemoration of the First National Government, organised by the educational community of Luján, at a school in the Department; the whole community is invited through the Department of Education to join the celebration.
* Patron Saint Festival – MAY
This is a celebration in honour of the Virgin of Luján, which coincides with the date of the creation of the Department. Cultural events, arts exhibitions, concerts, literary contests and research activities are done, ending with a civic-military parade through the streets of the Department.
* Painting Hall “Luján es Otoño” – JUNE
At the Provincial Museum of Fine Arts Emiliano Guiñazú – Casa de Fader. In this room participate artists from throughout the province, and the first prize is acquired by the city of Luján de Cuyo.
