Punta del Agua is a district located 80 km from the city of General Alvear, and 146 km from San Rafael. It is a place with a small population, but it is one of the districts of greater extension of the department. There are many activities because it has an ideal climate, specializing in adventure tourism are made.
In the village, head of the district, accessed through the crossing between the provincial routes 179 and 190, since it is located in a small oasis. 190 connects to the 143, which in turn locates with General Alvear. There is one of several valleys that make up the district, the Punta del Agua, which has five kilometers and is crossed by a stream of crystal clear water.
The place has a microclimate with almost no wind, no storm or hail, and pleasant temperatures allow horseback riding, hiking and climbing in the best conditions. The weather remains so thanks to Snow Hill, one of the attractions of the district that you can visit. It has 3810 meters high and protects the place of climate change. Other attractions are the natural water sheds, one marketed as Punta del Agua. There drinking localities of the province of La Pampa water is provided.
Other interesting places are all places to visit such as the Cajon de Mayo, Los Patos, safe water, Water Foreman, Leon Water, Horses, and The Descent of Broken Pantanito. In the Chapal Co they tend to settle dedicated to raising cattle herdsmen.
