Sunday 7:40 am. In the ACA, a meeting that month sees us leaving for the mountain, Hector takes a good strong coffee. Thus began Sunday. Minutes later walkers began arriving, each output that neglect the possibility of fatigue and sleep a little longer and tear to the mountain. This time our goal was to explore the Quebrada de La Manga, in the village of El Salto, Potrerillos, perhaps one of the most traditional walking with walkers Mendoza reach the waterfall El Salto. For some time it was closed to the passage, but today the management takes no more than 5 minutes, and with permission we took the opportunity to travel and enjoy a fascinating place. About 20 walkers CAM located in front of the field with backpacks on, ready to start walking. Some new faces joined this time with each other with great enthusiasm and uncertainty of reaching complete the course, but all with the same desire to participate in the adventure. The day we were greeted with a sun that just gave us heat for a couple of hours. Then the sky clouded over and the wind at times forced us to shelter us a bit, reminding us that in the mountains have to wait around if we mean climate. The trail was very clear at this time, not invaded by musk roses at other times it very difficult step. After just over half an hour we reached the beautiful vega having this ravine, where she was forced first stop. After crossing the creek and continue traveling, the weather began to change and the wind rushed clouds that left no longer see the sun. Again we set out to cross the stream, without making a second stop, more relaxed, let us know and enjoy the most beautiful place. We left the creek and begin the climb back to the hillsides in search of the mouth of the creek that leads to the waterfall. In the distance we could see a small yellow spot near our goal, a tent of a group of guys who stayed overnight at the site. This last section was perhaps the toughest of the trail as we gain more height, which was quickly rewarded with the final stop that gave us the most beautiful view of the waterfall. Mates, snacks, pies, sandwiches classics, were the lunch. The photos were not lacking, and a group were encouraged to come to a hillside in search of a different panoramic view of the area. Hurry and return around 15:30 we left the waterfall back to the creek again and go back to the cars. Now more relaxed and downhill were constant talks, sharing experiences. Near the 18 got back to the entrance of the camp, where they left the car. Elongation by the final photo and gave farewell hugs close to a day shared with loved ones.
