Under the Provincial Festival VII olive growing, the Organizing Committee made the National Competition Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Cuyoliva 2007.
This contest aims to qualify and spread to the rest of the World, the High Quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil produced in different regions of Argentina. Similarly participated Extra Virgin Olive Oils of Catamarca, La Rioja, San Juan, Cordoba and Mendoza oasis: Maipú, Lavalle, Luján, San Martín, Junín, Rivadavia and San Rafael.
They were distinguished with Golden Olive and the Olive Honor, only Extra Virgin Olive Oil, which were absolutely blameless in the chemical and sensory assessment. At first the camera Olivícola distinguished the Arauco Mendoza Family Zuccardi as the best oil extra virgin olive variety Arauco, and granted a certificate of honor. Finally the same varietal Arauco Zuccardi Family was awarded the highest award of the National Competition, The Great Golden Olive Source: Newsletter 22 – Family Zuccardi.
