Until the 2009 vintage , grape Mariflor ( and Val de Flores) was vinified in the winery Monteviejo with the complicity of “winemaker of the house” Marcelo Pelleriti.
In the ” Country ” were four operating wineries. Bodega Rolland was the last creation and construction of the project Closde los Siete. A plot of 2 acres had been preserved untouched for this installation: thousand m3 of soil were hauled to level and compact the soil, which naturally need to do, in order to prepare an area of 3200 m2 of land (40 m/80 m ). The work began in August 2009, and the winery was operational for the 2010 harvest.
As the owner describes it, the winery is a handy cube-shaped building with the latest technology. It’s the kind of winery that dreams most winemakers for their excellent functional design in winemaking as its exterior styling is simple but inside has great technology and in some cases novel . It is a no-frills project, you want to be functional and made of materials and equipment quality, very operational and simple, with a unique objective: respect the grape and the success of operations over the life of the wine.
The winery has a cuvier with 54 small pools termoreguladas , only concrete in the field , whose implementation was overseen by a Bordeaux specialist and receiving grapes gravity to complete a battery of unusual curved wooden storage rooms and 200 Bordeaux barrels are renewed each year.
In addition to its wine, each year also makes a blend wines using French producers of the project, all run by a highly experienced team led by Magdalena Vallebella Rodolfo and winemakers.
