I came to run strong> is a race where only women walk, jog and run, but in which the whole family participates, accompanying and giving support.
For 13 years, each edition brings together 1,000 women strong> with ages ranging from 3 to 70 years, to collaborate with the Fundafem Foundation strong> in the fight against cancer mom. To fight against this disease is to sow in all women commitment and solidarity. Commitment of themselves to their health, sending messages of awareness about their role in the prevention and early detection of the pathology; and solidarity with those women who are without economic resources, so that through Fundafem they can access medical checkups and possible treatment if a breast cancer is detected.
In this sense, physical exercise is fundamental as a preventive factor, since its regular practice reduces the incidence of breast cancer; as a supplement during treatment, because it helps reduce nausea, fatigue and pain; as a habit in post-treatment, since it increases survival against cancer and finally as an ally once the disease has been overcome because it improves the quality of life.
In Come to run, in a festive and happy atmosphere, every opportunity is taken to make more women commit to their health, making it a priority in their daily lives.
