The Mendoza Cycling Tour is held every year in different parts of the province of Mendoza, in mid-February. This is a sporting event in which athletes of much national and international renown, and is the most important region for this reason. It has more than 38 edits, which makes it a landmark event and one of the oldest in the province.
The back has several stages, which are held in different localities Mendoza. In total there are ten and every stage there is a winner. The awards consist of large sums of money in excess of $ 200,000. The presentation takes place at Government House, in the presence of provincial and municipal authorities and sports officials.
Usually the places chosen for the Tour include attractive areas like the Valle de Uco and the East Zone. The last stages are usually performed in the Great Mendoza, and one individual time trial takes place. The event is held with the participation of the Cycling Association and Mendoza Argentina Cycling Federation as track and road tax. The whole initiative has the support of the Ministry of Sports of Mendoza.
