The growth of the wine industry caused many effects in the province, becoming a reason of various art forms, giving rise to one of the most representative whose aim is to highlight the work of the winegrower, the popular work of transforming grapes into wine. A festival that has established itself in the country and the world.
When the harvest finished, it was customary for workers to celebrate the final of the work playing the guitar, singing and dancing, and later choose a girl crowned with clusters of grapes. In 1913, for the first time the celebration became popular and was celebrated outside the scope of the rows. Over the years the festival grew in form and content, and today is a celebration with its own spirit.
It is an artistic-religious act. Liturgical in its form and religious in its essence, is a thanksgiving to God for the fruits received, do it for farmers who knows the suffering life in the groove, extolling his prayer for good harvest in the image of the Virgin of Carrodilla.
