Las Salinas is a surface formed when one of the arms of Atuel River loses flow and water seeps into the ground, leaving the minerals on the surface. The other arm borns in the river, empties into the lagoon of same name, which houses an important fish wealth and adjacent vegetation. Both comprise 350 ha. of reservation area that seeks to preserve the wetland formed.
